

SOWETO TOUR: Experience the vibrant black urban life of Africa’s
largest and most famous township. A scenic pass through the famous Vilakazi Street,
home to the two Nobel prize Winners - Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
A brief stop at the biggest hospital in the Southern hemisphere - Baragwanath hospital
and a visit to one of the informal settlements. A visit to the Nelson Mandela house
museum and the Hector Peterson memorial. Optional - lunch at one of the traditional
shebeens/tavern (guest’s own expense).

LESEDI CULTURAL TOUR: A visit to the traditional village of the
Zulu, Sotho, Ndebele, Pedi and Xhosa nations.
Walk through their homesteads and experience their culture and way of living. Join
in their dances followed by a delicious buffet lunch/dinner.

GOLD REEF CITY TOUR: A visit to South Africa’s most profitable mine when it started in 1897. It is now a theme park where you can descend 250 metres down a mine to see the workings of a gold mine, followed by a gold pour. See a few historical mine houses and shops in the theme park. (This tour can be extended to a full day with a visit to the amusement park for the children, casino for the adults).

PILANSBERG NATIONAL PARK: Just 2 hours drive from Johannesburg
is the 55 000 hectares of unspoilt bush, located within an ancient crater - untouched,
untamed and unforgettable, where Africa’s “Big Five” roam free together with a large
variety of antelope and bird life. Lunch can be had at one of the parks restaurants.

THE CRADLE OF HUMANKIND: A visit to one of the World heritage sites where you learn about the anthropological discoveries made by world famous scientists. Learn about the famous “Mrs. Ples” and Little Foot Humanoid Fossils.

THE RHINO & LION NATURE RESERVE: Located within the cradle of humankind world heritage site. View a variety of Africa’s wild animals including the Lion, Buffalo, Rhino, Cheetah and various antelopes. Cuddle Cubs and visit the interesting Wonder Caves.

DEWILDT CHEETAH BREEDING CENTRE (Booking 48 hours in advance): A visit to the centre where endangered species are kept and protected. See the Cheetah, Wild Dog, Hyenas, Vultures and a selection of the indigenous Owls.

THE ELEPHANT SANCTUARY: A visit to an Elephant Reserve in the bushveld where you can see, touch and feed the elephants. Learn all about an Elephants life and how the sanctuary takes in orphaned or injured Elephants and tries to rehabilitate them.

SUN CITY & LOST CITY: Visit the world famous Sun City, where
the million dollar golf tournament is played. Spend time at the valley of the waves,
explore the palace and visit the casino to try your luck. Pop in at the Crocodile
farm to see these pre-historic animals.

PRETORIA & CULLINAN DIAMOND MINE TOUR: Tour the capital city, visiting
the Paul Kruger House, Church Square, Union Buildings and head off to the Cullinan
Diamond Mine where a surface or an underground tour of the mine may be taken to
see how diamonds are mined and where the world’s largest diamond was found.

PRETORIA CITY TOURS: (includes picnic) Tour the capital city, visiting the Paul Kruger House, Church Square, Union Buildings and other historical sites in the city before heading east to the stunning Sammy Marks House Museum, followed by a Victorian Picnic on the lawns of this historical house.

VOORTREKKER MONUMENT AND JAN SMUTS HOUSE: Take a stroll through the
Voortrekker Monument to discover the history and story of the Voortrekkers from
when they left the Cape to the hinterland, including the Zulu War’s etc. In the
museum, you can see artifacts collected from battle fields in this historical period
of South Africa. We leave the monument and travel to Jan Smuts House where this
world famous statesman lived while he was
Prime Minister of South Africa.
